I think what SERKIT meant was the source of the actual literal physical 20 and 50 and 100 dollar bills stacked up on those pallets...even politicians don't carry around that much cash in their pockets.

Most of the money was NOT in US currency. The Iranians wanted it that way, and who was Bammy to tell them no?
