And the father is a cop.
Geez! My father was from the old school and spent over 20 years in military and the worst I got was 30 days in my room except for school and church. He never hit.
Yeah, a bit extreme punishment. Not the worst I’ve seen, but a bit beyond what I’d probably do.
But not so bad he must be in jail. We need to stop stripping kids of their parents just because of a minor isolated incident. Which is really worse - a bit of a whipping, or not having a parent/him in jail?
I thought “beat up” wasn’t accurate...
although the father is a brute.
Harsh. But reasonable.
The daughter did not sustain any visible injuries or bruises so it wasnt brutal but certainly wasnt appropriate.
that is called a spanking, and not a severe one either.
Child abuse in front of witnesses.....behind closed doors might be a horror show
Yeah, but you have to consider if she has any “history”. Any bruises, lacerations, etc? If not, than probably not.
The News Liar says he punched her. Watched it twice and I didn’t see a punch.
The school employee managed to stay on task while tuning out distractions. She should get positive marks for this on her performance appraisal.
Meanwhile, the father has to administer discipline that the school administrators used to supply.
This wasn’t harsh or extreme except for the “snowflakes” of today who think kids should never be disciplined.
I was given much worse when I was a kid, though by the age of 14, I’d grown up enough and learned to be respectable.
That age is long past any value for corporal punishment. And he punched her on top of the spanking. Likely lives in abject fear.
a grown man....a cop....
I predict this girl will get pregnant, get on drugs or just leave school early...she'll never respect her so called father...and she shouldn't...
my parents disciplined but never to that extent....
I’m just saying.... that was nothing...
The school called him because she was disrespectful to a teacher. He spanks her. The school calls the police on him.
Lesson learned...if the school complains about your kid being a little snot to the adults, thank them for the call and do nothing.
“The school employee managed to stay on task while tuning out distractions. She should get positive marks for this on her performance appraisal.

And they thanked him by calling the police, helpfully providing video, getting him charged with a felony, and helping him lose his job. Never trust the government...ever...at any level.
