Some people have great imaginations that they can bring to reality.

Ah the flat egg crate grille of the 55 bel air. I also like the pointy grille of the 56.

A grill from an old Vette looks cool too.

I would rather have a 1955 Chrysler C-300. For me, it’s Mopar or No Car. I have a 1964 Plymouth Fury with a 318 Polysphere engine with a push-button Torqueflite Transmission that I bought from the original owner in 2005.

Actually had one of these ... it was a POS, a VERY EXPENSIVE POS
It was No Fun to Drive or Own then, still isn’t

Sorry to hear all that. Maybe you should sell it and buy something you actually want to own.

Speaking of grills, I always liked the wire mesh grill of the '67 GTO...

Back in the 70s when I lived in my first apartment, there lived the proverbial little old lady who drove a '64 GTO, of all things. I wonder how many offers to buy she got on that car?

I also remember seeing a 1st generation Camaro in someone’s back yard visible from a side street. The owner had a sign in the window which said “Not For Sale”. LOL!

Tom Waits wrote & sang his classic song, “Ol’ 55” (later covered by the Eagles)

"The 235 has a reputation as a reliable and excellent big inline 6 and puts out approx 125 horsepower in this fleet car. Chevy built millions of these engines back in the day so parts availability isn't a problem and they will run forever if properly maintained."

Only if "properly maintained" includes regular valve and ring jobs. The Chevy "Blue Flame" inline six and its variants was in production for well over a half century. My dad's brand new 1956 Chevy 210 had one. It started burning oil at about 60,000 miles, which was quite normal for them.

The car cost $1,600 and had every option anyone would ever need: rubber floor mats, vacuum windshield wipers, and a heater.

Dad had a 3-tone, in the 50s; I recall getting near my 16th b'day and I would wash that beast everyday for him, in anticipation of getting my DL. Good times.

IIRC, his was a *Special*:

A = Carlsbad Black

S = Cherokee Red

C = Cameo Beige
