We're on the same page with the 1967 Mustang Fastback - the best looking Mustang ever. Potent with the 390 or 428 and real screamers with the 427.
About a week ago, I followed a very clean 1965 Mustang for a while. Couldn't take my eyes off it. The styling of the early Mustangs has aged really well. Witness the success of the new Mustangs that are nothing more than an updated 1970s Mustang.

The Dodge Dart was a muscle car?! I had no idea. What about our old Plymouth Belvedere with its magnificent fins . . . Was that a muscle car too?

Well, the Swinger apparently had a little extra 'zip' to it...

Correct me if Im wrong but I think youll pay more for a Challenger or Charger than you will for a Camaro or Chevelle.Of course, a major factor in that is there are a lot more vintage Camaros and Chevelles out there than there are vintage Challengers and Chargers. I believe that Chrysler was always a distant third in sales during the 1960s and 1970s. High demand and low supply mean high prices while high demand and large supply mean more modest prices.

Pretty close, but his was pumpkin orange and black. With a huge hood scoop, Crager mags, and L60’s on the back.

The 68 Hemi Dart was the fastest Super Stock car for years. The 69 Mr Norm’ s 440 was no slouch either. The 340 Darts were also light and fast. I like Darts. I had a 67 and 69.

I also had a 64 Polara that I can in nostalgia super stock.

The very first one appears to be parked next to one of the bombers from the “Wings of Freedom” touring air show. We’ve visited it a couple of times when in our area. I never noticed the car until I went back for a look!

Nice thread, ETL...love me some ol’ MOPAR!
To: ETL
I know this is a Mopar thread but I am sure that Ford guys are reading it so I will try to add something interesting. I discovered a drag strip in Pa. called Beaver Spring that is 2 1/2 hours from my home in N.J. They have a show called the Ford FE reunion so being a 60’s race car guy I went. It was great. There were probably 125-150 390-406-427-428CJ cars and around the same number of show cars. You can googoo the track and get the video. If you love muscle cars just turn up the sound and enjoy.
