I was thinking all day yesterday that there was more to the hostage release than we knew. But now that it’s happened, here are some guesses that I had but didn’t want to say before it happened.
1. Kim was coming with them.
2. Confiscated nukes and/or related materials were coming with them.
3. Some other big event was going to happen while all the attention was focused on the hostages landing here.
The fact that at least 2 planes were involved supports 1 & 2.
The fact that they landed at 3 a.m. supports all 3, but especially #3.
I have to ask myself these questions (taking a lesson from Q?):
1. Why were there 2 planes? (Were there more than 2 planes?)
2. Why did they land at 2 a.m.? It’s not like that was a convenient time. It’s not like they couldn’t have scheduled it for some time that was convenient.
3. Why did the President and the first lady make a big show of being there to meet the plane. They could have met them at the WH and had just as much hoopla in a more comfortable setting. I admit this question is not quite as interesting because meeting them at the plane is very symbolic. But still!
All of this theater forced the media to all be out running around in the middle of the night. It’s like the time was chosen to be the absolutely least convenient time possible and to ensure that everyone would be sleep deprived today. Or at least everyone who is paying attention to this event.
It still would not surprise me to find out that there was more to this than meets the eye. Remember that we didn’t find out about Pompeo’s NK visit until weeks later.
Anyone else have a guess as to what really happened last night?

I have to study it more, but a couple of pieces appear to be a pewter/gray color.
