I think maybe one reason some of us can be borderline hoarders is because we are frugal, thrifty, and we like to be PREPARED. Not kooky preppers, but very sane rational preppers.
I’m a mathematician and if you look at the math in this article:
https://medium.com/s/story/the-surprisingly-solid-mathematical-case-of-the-tin-foil-hat-gun-prepper-15fce7d10437
it very soundly shows you that there is a significant chance that in your lifetime you will need to be prepared for a catastrophic event. Specifically one that involves needing a gun. If you add in all the other scenarios where you might need a gun, then the odds are even higher.
Take care.
Keep the good stuff. :-)

And if you dont carry regularly, odds are you wont have it when that time comes. I grew up in California in the 70s and my dad owned a trucking company. He actually got his CCW (even then it was ridiculously hard). Anyway, we took a trip to Southern California and stopped at a Dennys to eat. Some thugs ended up taking a lead pipe to the windows while the whole restaurant crouched under tables trying to avoid flying shards of glass.
No one was hurt, but Ill never forget my dad repeating all the way home, thats the last time I go anywhere without my gun.
Good article. Thanks!
