Recall that Barrick was INSTRUMENTAL in assisting suppressing the price of gold at the behest of the banking cabal by forward selling their future production into the market in the pre 2008 run up. They almost were destroyed doing it too. I don’t know what their exposure is now, a lot of producers pared their exposure, but for a time there were several majors that were on the brink as the financial system fought gold being a safe haven.
