I watched the Crazy Ones because SMG was in it, I was not expecting the. Same Robin. He was older.
His death hit Sarah hard, as it did all his friends.
He did not have Parkinsons, although the disease was similar. I recall reading an article by his wife detailing the last part of his life, and describing the terrible disease that he had.
From everything I heard, he died during an autoerotic asphyxiation episode.
Hi did’t have Parkinesons, he had a much worst disease.
Lord, please forgive for my thoughts on his suicide. He was much wosre off than I had thought, and it is not my place to judge.
From the article:
Pam Dawber, Robin’s co-star from “Mork & Mindy,” joined the cast of “The Crazy Ones” to raise ratings. On set, Dawber saw a deeply changed man from the riotous and often inappropriate (she says Robin groped and flashed her on set) man she had worked with decades before.
My aunt died of Alzheimers. It’s the worst. Emotionally it took its toll on me too when it was my turn to take care of her. Not only will your memory fail you, the patient will also violently turn as well. That’s why I took a Nurse Aide’s course years ago to prep for it..
A number of years ago I read an article written by a US soldier who had served in Iraq or Afghanistan (I can’t remember which).
He was writing about his experiences over there. One day he went into the mess hall, and everybody was gathered in one corner of the room. So he wandered over to see what was going on.
And there was Robin Williams, telling jokes.
RIP, Robin Williams.
The amount of toxins he put in to his body over time could not have helped.
Anyone watching his rapid-fire comedic rants without any clue as to how that was induced is completely and totally naive.
Wrong, according to the linked article that follows this article -- it's at the "Read More" link at the end. The autopsy revealed that the Parkinson's diagnosis had been wrong; he had Lewy body disease, a form of brain degneration.
Robin Williams was sort of a unique talent but he was a typical Hollywood leftist. He is remembered here on FR for uttering lots of profanity at some dim fundraiser with children present and the Toons in attendance during Bill’s Presidency. He had a bad end. Nuff said.
I will always remember and love Mr Williams for a single movie role, “Moscow on the Hudson” (1984), where he portrayed a Soviet Russia emigre trying to make a new life in New York City. Very moving, very convincing and a performance done just right.
Mr Williams, you made me smile far more times than most of your contemporaries and for that, sir, I thank you! God Bless!
He was a big druggie for a long time.He and Robert De Niro were the last people to see John Belushi alive. They were both looking for drugs.

So much of Robin William’s comedy he took directly from a true comedian Jonathan Winters.
Mork & Mindy, which, by the following spring in 1979, reached 60 million viewers. Robin Williams was now a household name.
