-- If everyone knows, then why redact it? --

To save the FBI and Mueller embarrassment.

Once the scope of the investigation is known, the public will agree, this is a witch hunt. Especially if President Trump's name is on the list.

@_VachelLindsay_
1. Some comments on this.

To clarify: I've repeatedly said Carter deserves a #Pulitzer, because of the quality of her reporting and also her sheer bravery in being a lone voice of truth, especially thru 2016/17.

That remains my opinion and always will.

BUT.

2. My comment was not so much directed at the specific article, but at a long term campaign waged by Hannity's Fox posse to undermine the incredible work being done by AG Sessions, in extraordinary and challenging times.

3. Now it could be that it's part of a deliberate misinformation campaign, in which Carter (knowingly or unknowingly) is participating.

4. Or it could be a genuine belief that Sessions is a dithering AG, out of his depth, a huge disappointment, swamp creature, etc.

I doubt Sara will read this, but if she does, that's the impression you guys are creating. My point is, MILLIONS believe you.

Which angers me. Why?

5. Because Sessions is doing more than anyone else in the Trump administration to nail the bad guys.

And if I'd expect anyone to report it, it would be Hannity's Fox posse.

Don't believe me?

6. Well, check this out.

In what - 16 months? - Sessions has MULTIPLE, ongoing investigations and grand juries into Clinton & Obama.

His quiet appointment of Huber as an enforcement arm of the IG was a masterstroke. Brilliant.

1. A NEW SC. This development heralds a brand new stormfront coming toward the Houses of Clinton & Obama.

But don't forget that there are at least NINE other major storms swirlinaEUR|

7. I've counted some 38 probes (inc 27 leak investigations), excluding the IG report.

Incredible, important and deadly work.

No one reports about them. Seems odd that I can, though - a nobody with a lap top.

8. Some of you have tweeted me saying 'Sara was just passing on what Nunes said.'

Fair enough. But why not question why that would be required?

For example, that Sessions may be witholding docs because they are needed in future prosecutions?

9. Or that Sessions may not want those docs to be anywhere near the most useless, corrupt Congress in US history?

Point being, there may be reasons WHY Sessions is hesitant to release the docs Nunes is demanding.

10. Look, there's a good chance that all this is kabuki theater, in advance of 'storm happenings'.

And in no way did I mean to cause offense to one of America's finest reporters, @SaraCarterDC . As stated, she deserves a #Pulitzer and more accolades.

11. BUT I'd like a bit more balance in the overall reporting of AG Sessions' fine work.

And also because he's another one who has risked everything to back Trump, from Day One.

If Sara and the Hannity Posse won't provide the balance, NO ONE else will.

#MAGA

The end.

12. Addendum : I've deleted my original tweet, because this thread explains my pov better. @SaraCarterDC

To save the FBI and Mueller embarrassment.

No, that is silly.

The only logical conclusion is that the actual targets are so high level and important that disclosing them prematurely would be devastating to national security.
