I disagree with that comparison. Holder did not go after criminals, he went after political enemies, and aided and abetted criminals, and was one himself.
Sessions is not serving his President by taking on those who would attack him with legal actions and investigations.
Do you personally have knowledge that Sessions is not doing this? Because if you are not personally involved in the DOJ and know personally what Sessions and those associated with him are or are not doing, you really do NOT know this. I trust that Sessions is doing exactly what he should be doing.
I don’t think we disagree about Holder vs Sessions. I’m not saying that Sessions should go after political enemies, I’m saying he should protect his President. Holder did that by being a criminal and pursuing good citizens. Sessions should do that by pursuing criminals and deflecting efforts to frame a good citizen (Trump) with phony charges.
As to what Sessions has done so far, the one effort we know about, he hired a Democrat from Utah to look at a criminal referral. Other than that, crickets. And then there is the war on marijuana, that’s important stuff. Oh, he had a nice press conference about pursuing leakers, and right next to him was our buddy, RR, who was deputized to take charge of that effort. Good stuff.
It seems like some FReepers think if Sessions isn’t out there broadcasting everything he’s doing, he’s not doing anything. That’s not the way it works.
OTOH, why do they keep giving us a date for the IG report, then new leads come up every month to delay it? Are these new leads coming from from people that want it delayed?
