In an email to the student body, a Gonzaga University administrator cautioned that Cinco de Mayo has become "full of cultural appropriation," directing them to a flyer listing "alternative" ways of celebrating the holiday. "Don't you dare put on that 'sombrero,'" the flyer tells students, suggesting that they "donate to organizations working for immigrant rights" rather than have a party. Another option is to "support AUTHENTIC Mexican businesses" run by "actual Mexican people," though it cautions that "CHIPOTLE DOESNT COUNT."

when you think about Mexico, you think "they speak Spanish" as in Spain, which is Europe...
this idiot VP maybe doesn't know that a lot of Mexican music comes from German influence...

It’s our anniversary! Guess the wife and I will have to forego plans and give that money to an illegal. Come to think I now hope nobody drank a corona at our reception 11 years ago...

Interesting fact: The oldest existing, and continually operating educational institution, in the world is the University of Karueein, founded in 859 AD in Fez, Morocco.
Gonzaga University itself is a cultural appropriation!
