Surveillance video from some time later shows the men attempting to sell the stolen shoes for money in a nearby store.

I'm surprised this is even possible. Who the hell fences (and what kind of store buys) used sneakers?

A few years ago killing for a pair of Air Jordans was not unheard of.

I wear Danners. They’re expensive, but nobody’s going to try to steal them because they’re work boots.

I hate that Costco only goes as high as size 13. I wear 14.

At least they have $12.95 jeans that fit.

New Balance is also a good brand that way. Not cool in ‘da ‘hood.

These thieves are practicing up on more deadly crimes. If they need tennis shoes now, they will be busting down a door or robbing a bank later. The Black Culture is not showing its best face lately.

I wear on sale BOGO Payless flip flops. Can’t stand closed in shoes. Have to feel the ground for balance. Barefoot at home, car, at friends’, sidewalks (no, I don’t live in SF) and anywhere shoes are not required. Flip flops are stored in the car and aren’t even worn to walk into the house. Drive barefoot, too.
