GUY VERHOFSTADT has ripped into the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban during a furious rant as he hailed the new EU budget.

Guy Verhofstadt, MEP and former Belgian Prime Minister took a huge dig at the Hungarian Prime Minister during a speech over the new EU budget.

It comes amid suggestions the European Union will impose new rules to allow funds to be cut off to countries where judicial rule is threatened.

Mr Verhofstadt said the new budget was “not a revolution” but was a “break from the past” before he took a dig at Hungary.

He said: “We have to be very clear about this Commissioner, it is very simply also colleagues.

“If the Government of a member state of the European Union does not want to apply, in fact, and to respect European values, it doesn’t also need the European money.

“That is the reality that we have to put into this budget.

“The European money, in my opinion, should be used to lift up our national economies, to lift up our citizens and not to be given or to be granted to the family of Mr Orban or to finance one or other new football stadiums in his constituencies.

“That is not a reason to spend the money.”

Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban has repeatedly clashed with the EU over the migrant crisis after refusing to sign up to refugee resettlement schemes.

Poland is another EU state which has angered Brussels after introducing controversial judicial reforms which were branded anti-democratic by the European Commission.

Jean-Claude Juncker described the budget as "ambitious and balanced budget" saying it would be fair for all.

He said: “This is a modern, more simplified and flexible budget.

"We want to present a proposal that is taken seriously and a proposal that can be the basis for future negotiations.“This budget is innovative in its structure and its simplification of rules.”

The first draft of the Multiannual Financial Framework, which will run from 2021 to 2027 was published this week.

Brussels is considering increasing the EU’s seven-year budget to £1.1Ttrillion (€1.25trn), in the wake of Britain cutting ties with the bloc.

EU nations will be ordered to fill the gaping £13bn Brexit sized hole by raising their contributions to around 1.1 percent of the gross national income of member states - an increase on the current 1 percent commitments.

It looks like Orban has strayed too far from the EU plantation. He must be doing something right.

Screw the unelected EU bureaucrats.

43 second video of Verhofstadt whining.

Whatever funds the EU cuts ‘off’....Hungary will just deduct it from being sent to the EU in the first place.

This EU representative election in the summer of 2019 will turn into a curious episode.

Hungary and Poland should invade Belgium and topple the Eu.

Do Hungary and Poland mandate English instruction for every student from K onward, as does Germany? If not, they should immediately do so. Because there is a massive opportunity to replace Germany’s industrial might, as that nation descends into total Islamic chaos over the next 25 years.
