NIKK (my foxnews link is to the military page and my heart sank even deeper),

we lost 9 airmen in the crash, but look at their ranks!

The airmen were identified Thursday as Maj. José R. Román Rosado, Maj. Carlos Pérez Serra, 1st Lt. David Albandoz, Senior Master Sgt. Jan Paravisini, Master Sgt. Jean Audriffred, Master Sgt. Mario Braña, Master Sgt. Víctor Colón, Master Sgt. Eric Circuns and Senior Airman Roberto Espada.

National Guard is rank heavy to begin with, also since it was boneyard bound it was probably being delivered by aircrew with significant time in it.

Sometimes passengers in military flights ferrying from one place to another are just catching a ride and are not part of the crew or on a mission. You show up at the field, check schedules flights to see if there is a flight to your destination, show them your ID and go. In looking at this list I only see 2 names that are not Hispanic.
