The federal judge in Washington, Amy Berman Jackson, has not yet ruled on the request to dismiss that indictment.

Judges follow the politics, not the law.

Whatever the outcome below, the result is going to be appealed. DC and EDVA are both 4th Circuit. 4th Circuit is a crap shoot. It used to be conservative, but it isn't any more.

Most likely outcome is "Court does not get in the middle of executive branch squabbles." Which amounts to Mueller stays, because he's there, right or wrong.

The judge is right. It is entirely beyond the scope of the election. What Mueller should have done was to refer it to an appropriate jurisdiction, if there was a crime to be pursued.

The whole kabuki theater is past time for a shut down. JMHO
