I’m of the opinion that Clancy was apart of the “future games” MILINT group that thought up the REAL possibilities of future war generation points and the subsequent termination of that war.

_______________
Steve Pieczenik (Love him or not) wrote for some of Clancy’s thriller factories. Steve is aka: The Real Jack Ryan.
AFAIK, Clancy was in the insurance industry prior to being published. He understood the need for accurate details in thrillers and used teams of experts, branching out to form production groups dedicated to churning out ensemble series. Not sure if Clancy himself had any intel chops, tho.
Same model Patterson uses. A notable indy effort by Sean Platt, Johnny B. Truant and David Wright uses and teaches a similar model. Lots of up front work, but once the team and the preliminary outlining and development is in place, the actual writing goes really fast, allowing very rapid publication of new stories within the series or fictional world.
Pieczenik has been on my personal list as a Q member from the git go. At the least, he may have designed the Q op. This is the guy who designed the takedown of the USSR for Reagan.
If you aren’t familiar, just skim his bios. He has a YT channel. Thinks highly of himself and is a very independent thinker.
