It’s not a good thought to think this might be what we’ve come to. We’ve destroyed what the Founders created and turned it into a form of zombie-Republic that is slouching toward a wicked despotism. Who can say if Trump knew exactly what he was walking into...just trying to turn the country back toward what he (and we) knew growing up...to resestablish principles of success and fairness. And this open rejection of the will of the governed is what he finds. A secret, silent dictatorship with contempt for the people and the entitlement of power that is the stuff of tyrants. And now he (and we) must fight it openly, and we dare not lose this battle.
