Interesting fact. We had a black bear wandering in my neighborhood Monday morning. Thanks for that fascinating update, Cletus.
In other news, my ear was itchy and I scratched it.

NEW: Following Facebook scandal, Cambridge Analytica's political business was in collapse. The commercial clientele seemed likely to follow. The company just declared bankruptcy.
NIKK- I hate to direct you to anything New York Times..but it is what it is breaking the story.

Ugh, squirrel. Best stewed and BBQ’d. Not much there in terms of *steak*.
Hunting is a point of contention. DH hates venison and after one disastrous butchering episode, will not eat rabbit. He has gout, which means venison is not a good idea, even though rabbit is (it has no purines). Luckily, we let neighbors cull the herd and they share. I love both venison and rabbit. :( We live on a Class 1 trout stream, so there’s that and we both eat trout and pan fish. Plenty of beef, pork and chicken in the area, though, available for cash or trade.
Armory exists and he reloads. Actually have been suggesting he triage it somewhat, but, boys and their toys syndrome is an issue.

The guest, Dr. Pry, laid it all out. If the grid goes down and stays down, there will be no food, water and fuel for most in the U.S.
I've been told that FEMA has plans in case of massive food shortages to build huge, very shallow ponds and use fast growing algae to feed the masses. It seems that it has been done before in Japan.
After the war, algae seemed to be forgotten as a food source, and interest in it didnt resurface again until World War II, when the Hiroshima bomb destroyed Japans food supply and the US Government sent chlorella algae along with other food supplies to help them avoid starvation. The chlorella was a desperately needed source of protein, and to everyones surprise, it also seemed to alleviate some of the effects of radiation poisoning. The US Government took note of this, and in the late 1940s began extensive research on algae. Algaes ability to assist with remediation of radiation poisoning has since been confirmed and used at other radiation disasters including Chernobyl.

What exactly is their complaint?
And how come I wasn't invited?
