I found a House Finch nest on the ground; it's made almost completely of his shed mane and tail hair!

Love the nest. What you don't know is when we had our Saanen dairy goats - all white hair - we used to find their hair in nests too, It was so sweet. One bird box in particular has a nest chickadees built from their white hair and green moss. It was beautiful. The goats used to rub against the fence in the spring, leaving their shedding hair and we could watch the birds taking it away. It was a real blessing you shared those - thanks friend!
