Trump Will Once Again Skip the White House Correspondents Dinner

President Trump will not attend the White House Correspondents Association Dinner this year, continuing a boycott that began his first year in office, the White House announced on Friday, but the president will “actively encourage” members of his administration to go in celebration of the First Amendment.
The president’s decision did not come as much of a surprise. Just a few hours after the announcement on Friday, the president tweeted about the “Fake News Media” and said, “so much of the media is dishonest and corrupt!”

Miss this news as he did not attend last year too. GOOD!! I am a self-professed nerd and I find this event being called the "Nerd Prom" insulting. These correspondents are not nerds as they probably would have difficulty using a calculator or naming every captain from the different Star Trek series.

Yeah there’s saving millions of lives by preventing nuclear war with Korea, protecting our national sovereignty from invaders, saving our economy from overwhelming trade deficits, making America great again, little things like that, but com on!
