I figure that about half the squirrel population will be gone in a month, as they have no known ability to cross a road without getting run over.
I had a few rabbits around last spring. Then I had a red-tailed hawk. Then, no rabbits any more.
I wonder if Q has an interest birds and critters...

If your lonely come to my house with traps..I have more than enough of everything..squirrels. woodpeckers at my feeder..mallards..lots of rabbits..fox..raccoons..deer..coyote(friend said she spotted one in her subdivision last year)..we have it ALL here on the banks of the Ohio River..
Oh yes, did I mention the bear running around all over southern Indiana last year?

My neighbors kitten was the carried off by one a few years ago.
It was okay, tho (hakuna matata) since the litter was 8 strong.
