When I noticed someone downarrowed this patriotic video that Fox put up 9 days after 9/11, I was rather horrified. Played it and it still feels wonderful and uplifting to me. Hope it still gets to you, too. The Fox chyron is running underneath, reminding us what was happening that day. I just created a new Playlist for videos like this:
Patriotic/Political Musical Tributes
PING
Don’t you get sick of the song? I’m as conservative as they come but I don’t need reaffirmation.
Thank you for this post. My daughter’s middle school had scheduled an evening program on September 11, 2001, which was postponed for several days due to the terror attacks.
When the program was held (in the fully-packed gym), several patriotic songs were included. EVERYONE in that gym was singing God Bless the USA, many weeping. (Public school, no less.)
Actually, no, I don’t. I still love the song and living out here in MA I LOVE reaffirmation from fellow conservatives. I put out a candle.
You’re most welcome, NEMDF. I hope your daughter is well and happy. She has a good story to tell her own children of people coming together.
What an awesome song. Never get tired.
Me, too. Sedona is one of my very favorite places to visit. Love remembering that in your name.
Lee Greenwood, a patriot who has, through his use of Creator-endowed talents, inspired and motivated millions of citizens toward liberty and freedom and against tyranny and Progressive totalitarian control of minds, speech, and actions.
Excellent description of a good man.
I'm not a huge fan of contempory pop music, but nevertheless, Greenwood's opus beats anything by the Dixie Chicks, Shania Twain, and the rest of those unpatriotic yo-yos.
Here are a few others with a similar theme that I like:
Those are WONDERFUL, Fiji. I hadn’t heard a single one. Thank you.
I attended the concert at the Lincoln Memorial the night before the Inauguration of PDJT. The best part of it was Lee Greenwood singing to ba he was Proud to be An American. The entire evening was so wonderful, full of hope.
Old Glory--Stuart Hamblen
What a wonderful place to have been, and what great memories you’ll carry through your life. We were right beside you at the TV, singing along and filled with hope.
Nice song, but where is Chris Worley’s “Have you forgotten?”
Nice. Thx.
Darryl Worley. Whoops
The next day, the protesters and disrupters were out in force. They scared me from going to the inauguration but, if PDJT is re-elected, I will go (praying I am still physically able). I went to both Bush2 inaugurations. There were protesters but no threat of violence like in 2017.
