Austin, TX is in the running to get the new Amazon HQ. They’ve been bending over begging Bezos to come. Please, we’ll do anything!!! Right up until the property owners started getting this year’s tax bill. The limit is supposed to be 10%/yr. but apparently some have gone up nearly triple that. Uh, hello. Austin is growing by leaps and bounds and the housing market is skyrocketing and still not able to keep up with it. Now, the silly little libs are scared to death of Amazon coming to town with it’s 50,000 new employees along with their spouses and kids all needing housing and schools and health care and then there’s the traffic that’s already horrific.

Not envious at all - I just don’t like people that take advantage using unfair practices provided to them by the people of this country and then are hyper critical of the values of this country.

Bezos supports many of the same causes as Soros and he has the Washington Post to boot - they both are a threat to the U.S.

I don’t care what anyone Amazon employees makes. I also don’t want to subsidize Amazon’s low wages with my tax dollars.

Those employees are free to find another job, aren’t they?

I, too, thought that was the way things work. Did we miss the unicorns or something?

new data suggests that one in three of the company’s own employees depend on SNAP to put food on the table.

I'd rather stack packages than serve burgers...........Both of which are basically entry level jobs.......

“fair” consists of what legal amount employees agree to...period.
