The socialist Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, will propose a federal program that would guarantee a job to any American who "needs or wants one."
The proposal would include funding for hundreds of federal programs that would pay $15 an hour and include health benefits.
Bernie is going full socialist this time around. He and other leading Democratic contenders for president will not even bother trying to hide their radicalism.
I'd like to say that this would lead to their certain defeat, but the fact that they have come out in the open with these proposals means that they have a sense that the time for socialism in America may be coming. Those under the age of 30 would vote for a candidate espousing this program in a minute, largely because they have been conditioned from the beginning of their schooling to accept it. They are too ignorant to know what this means for their personal liberty and they don't care if it radically alters the character of America.

The only way a $15/hr job can pay for health care is if the $15/hr job is applied to the health care industry.
I read an article about it yesterday and it said Bernie hasn’t figured out the cost of the program or how he would pay for it. Those to things weren’t important two big Bernie.
When everyone works, two will actually be working and eight will be lounging in the shade.
The Humphrey-Hawkins bill was supposed to have done this in the 1970s.
I believe “Tax the rich!” was his solution, though we never seemed to get a definition of who is considered wealthy.
And being experienced pols they know that this scheme could never get passed so they don't have to worry about being on the hook for funding it. Safe promise.

Encourage him at all costs. He needs to couple that with a minimum wage of over $100 per hour, no make that $1,000 per hour. That way they don’t have to work that long.

The advantage is that since the employer doesn't care about profit and you have no chance of moving up, you don't have to do a good job.

Precisely. Kind of takes away any need for being good at anything and wanting to succeed. Which is the purpose.
A large percentage of today's young workers already seem to have that attitude.
Hey Bernie how are you going to pay for these jobs? You could tax the rich at confiscatory rates, but once you have eaten all the money from the rich where will you get more money? The rich aren’t stupid and faced with losing everything they will leave the country taking not only their money but their entrepreneurial ability as well. The country will be left with state run enterprises making everything from toilet paper to airplanes under a government economic plan. This is just like the old Soviet system and assures misery. Obviously Bernie didn’t pay attention to the long lines at stores on his Moscow honeymoon where the average worker stood in line for hours to buy scarce necessities and wheren’t working at their government jobs.
What happens when all those "federal employees" fail their drug test???
Sander’s gestapo will pretend to pay us and we will pretend to work.

Everyone gets to be a Senator or a judge now? Those are the only jobs-for-lfe that I know of in the USA.
But what happens to the people who don’t want a job? What about them, Comrade Bernie? Have you no compassion for those too lazy to work??
