I think the movie is a powerful warning except it seems to end with the idea that the problem was that it needed to be done “right”. You know, kinda like leftists thing that socialism has never been done “right”.
Ignoring the ending, it does have a powerful message. It is the “give up freedom for security” message.

Excellent movie. I posted a thread on it months ago.
Odd thing is that Tom Hanks produced it and starred as the charismatic tech CEO. Emma Watson played the part of the wide eyed and eager new employee that gets caught up in the groupthink, but she plays it out to her advantage.

Privacy is pretty much dead.
The NSA has it all. It’s just a matter of who gets to see it, and it can be searched through by modern bots seeking correlations, facts and other items based on very sophisticated algorithms.
