Anyone have or has had a Para Ordnance Expert Carry .45ACP and can give information on same? Please post to this thread. Thanks.
Maybe you can help this brother out?
Get outta here with that 45ACP. 22LR or bust /
If you want a Para product, get one from before 2012. In 2012 they got bought by Freedom Group/Remington and their quality on ALL their products took a massive nosedive. Remington had what used to be Para make the disastrous RP9 and R51 pistols.
What spktyr says is true, the best Paras in my opinion are the ones made in Canada before they moved to North Carolina.
If you are looking for a good carry gun, find a C-6 or a C-7 with an LDA trigger.
Probably OK but I would rather have a Colt Commander.
I bought a used one in 1989 with a electroless nickel finish. I think that is what they called it. Anyway it had a bit of rust on the grip, especially the grip safety.
To my surprise, it all wiped right off with an oily rag. One of those I really wish I had kept.
I think it was actually called the Combat Commander because it had a steel frame.
Well, mine says North Carolina on it. It shoots beautifully. It’s absolutely awesome. Was wanting to discuss night sights. Hope some folks post.
Keyword “Banglist” added to reach the FR shooting community.
Ive had several Para guns. All have been reliable and good shooters.
Get good magazines and enjoy.
Thank you very much.
It has two good mags. I am very impressed. Where to get night sights?
I have a P12 I bought around 2000. I like it.
I’ve been carrying one for seven or eight years. Very satisfied with it.
Midway USA or brownells will have trtitium 1911 sights. Im partial to Trijicon, there are other good ones out there. I run trijicon on my Walther pps and my HK p30sk. My S&W Commander has Crimson Trace red laser grips. I just picked up a Laser Max rail mount green/light sight to try out. Hope your sights change out easier than the Springfield XDs I lve changed out. Good luck and stay safe.
These are Meprolight, I put a set of ML11801 on aq pre-2007 Canadian gun recently. Bright and clear.
You have a newer gun, ML11802 is for post 2007.
Sorry couldnt remember the name but Truglo makes a good tritium sight set too.
You may want to look into R4E sights. I have a set on my Glock 19, they work very well. You can get them on Amazon.
