Full title: Boy, 12, stole mums credit card, booked flight to Bali and spent four days living life of luxury after fight with parents.
A cheeky schoolboy stole his mum's credit card and flew to Bali, spending four days living a life of luxury, after getting into a fight with his parents.
The boy, who has not been named, booked the cheap flight after researching online which airline would allow him to travel by himself without parental permission.
He managed to find a cheap deal to the Indonesian island and booked the flight on a school day, 9news reports .

His mum Emma, a mother-of-two, said that she was "shocked, disgusted", adding: "There is no emotion to feel what we felt when we found he had left for overseas."

Did he build a Clock that looks like a Bomb?
That would have gotten him a Scholarship.
Unless the rules have changed, children under 18 cant leave or enter any country I have been to unless they are accompanied by a family member.
And one of those times I had my one year old sister with me. Just me, her, and the diaper bag. One thing nice was that I got a lot of attention from the stewardesses. And this was back in the good old days when they were all knockouts, in their 20’s, and unmarried.
Hey, a kid can dream, right?
Landing at Miami I was walking down the stairs from the plane, holding my sister down in front of me. Her plastic diaper cover had leaked on me and it looked like I had wet MY pants.
As I got to the tarmac a little Jewish lady who was waiting for someone else to disembark, asked me how old I was. I told her I was 14, and she said, “And already with with a baby?” Then she just shook her head and tsk, tsked a few times.
When I took my 14 year old daughter to Mexico with me they wanted a written note from her father saying it was ok for her to leave the US with me. I said.....if you can find him Ill get one. They wound up saying ok, go ahead.
I guess things have changed. Lol
So much for security controls at UK airports.
Nice!
It worked for Barack Obama.
Are your children really bad? Or just naughty?
Are your children really bad? Or just naughty?
Are your children really bad? Or just naughty? If this were my son, I would secretly be quite proud at how independent and capable he is, and I would start wondering whether I was holding the leash to night and he should be given more freedom and responsibility. In that vein, I would then inform him that since he was old enough to travel on his own, that he was old enough to pay for it, so he had better go find a job and pay me back every penny he spent. That being said, I would actually take the money and put it in the bank for him.
Like cat bad. Independent thinkers bad.

There are thousands of children that fly unaccompanied to foreign countries. Airlines have special programs for this purpose. The child has to have a passport and special measures are taken to make sure that the designated person is the only one that can pick them up at the destination after they clear customs. Usually the program is mandatory for children between 5 and 15, but there are exceptions if they are traveling with a relative that is 16 or 17.
He should be sent to bed without dinner for the next six months.
“The mum says her son ‘doesn’t like to be told no’ “ - he shouldn’t be told but spanked. No phone. No computer. No friends. No tv. No music. No anything for a long time.
After that stunt, Mom is sure to have called him more than one name.
Sounds like a perfect person for our Congress.
I was under the impression that international agreements on sex trafficking - which passed after the 1960s - forbade children to leave or enter a country alone.
When all the Central American “kids” started pouring across the Mexican border a couple years ago - instead of just catching a bus to Los Angeles - I assumed those same laws were still in effect.
LOL, indeed.
Is he still missing, or just his child support checks?
Just a few years ago, I seem to recall that three 15 y/o girls from England left to join ISIS. I understand they weren’t treated well by the Muslims.
Never had either. Dumped him when she was born and never looked back. She was my kid. Shes 36 now and a great adult. I did the right thing.
Re: Three 15 year old girls
I recall that, too.
All the replies I have received disagree with my original understanding, so apparently I was completely mistaken.
