i.e. the expression of this or that gene or set of genes CAN BE AND ROUTINELY IS changed by the internal/external environmental experiences, conditions. If the above were so, humans would be in a state of perpetual chimerism. Not to mention the goings on vis a vis male zygote production.

You read the quote too quickly. It is not the genes which are changed (that is, the DNA backbone) but the *expression* of the genes, (are they turned *on* to produce proteins or turned *off* so they don’t direct anything)?
