read report that purported pilot WASN’T flying it but authorities wouldn’t say who was. No idea where I read it. Probably on this thread as I’m not reading much else.

That’s right - I read that too about the unlicensed pilot.
Made me wonder about possibility of drone control? But how would you convince the guy with the stick that he would be safe?
Or alternatively, the plane had the drone controls whether the pilot was licensed or not, and it WAS going to go down one way or the other?
