I can understand an algorithm that would filter out “bad review” spam from people trying to ruin somebody’s life, but would such an algorithm be tailored to allow only 4 or 5 star reviews, or would they at least try to make one smarter than that?
So, give it 3 stars, then rip it to shreds with analytically accurate care comments.
I just checked and it has quite a few 1 and 2 star reviews.
My attempt:
“Sorry, we are unable to accept your review of this product.
This product currently has limitations on submitting reviews. This may be because we detected unusual review behavior on this product, ...”
Folks are misunderstanding the constraining algorithm.
It is NOT base on the number of stars you want to allocate.
It is based upon your book selection history.
If it determines you’re conservative, it won’t allow the review, no matter the number of stars you want to allocate.

Who buys a book just to give it a one star rating?
People who actually read and analyze the book for its content and truthfulness, if non-fiction, and note that the content is based upon lies and innuendoes.
And usual review behavior
The next time how conservative author puts out a book, we should see if they protect that book from bad reviews as well.
A book may still be well-written even if full of lies. A stupid pursuit is to purchase a book with the intent of maligning it for political ends. To purchase a book with an axe to grind is a misuse of both intellect and substance.
