I still have contacts from that era. One fellow is a Nisei who worked for the Washington Post for a time. Another is the son of our neighborhood policeman. I found him through the local Buddhist society in Yokohama.
I'd like to revisit, but everything I remember is gone. The Area 1 and 2 and Negeshi Heights housing, the Bill Chickering Theater, etc.
I would love to get my hands on a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible & do a resto mod. Classic styling with modern power & handling. 8>)
A 1957 would be a nice fallback, with the single front headlights, but I prefer the double headlights. Though I do like the 1957 rear end. Perhaps I could find a 1958 front end & a 1957 rear end and marry the two someway. 8>)
