Not funny. A horrible way to die.
Humans have a responsibility to be humane when a n animal needs to be killed.
True, however, one must consider the totality of the situation. A gunfight in the neighborhood is not going to have a humane result. A prison term for either the owner or the dog killer is not humane. So, choosing among unattractive alternatives, a surreptitious poisoning is a good way to avoid the loss of human life or the incarceration pf persons who need not be incarcerated.
