Last Thursday, an employee at a Philadelphia Starbucks called the police on two black men who were waiting for the arrival of a business partner without having ordered anything at the counter. When police arrived, the men were arrested for trespassing. A bystander caught the encounter on video, which showed the men resigned to their fate as other white patrons protested the arrest, and the incident went viral.
Starbucks is now in full-on damage-control mode, with plans to shut down its stores nationwide for an afternoon of employee unconscious bias training. Meanwhile, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said that the officers acted according to protocol, but his department has launched an internal investigation.

Maybe they expected the person they were waiting for to pay for their coffees.
It’s not a post traumatic stress disorder tressie described. It is a transparent disorder of low self esteem, apparently, tragically, suffered by many black people. According to tressie.
found another article where the third person showed up as they were being arrested.
The left sees racism everywhere.
Yeah, like white spaces are allowed. What planet is this guy from?
Just look at the per-capita crime stats - if you’re not of an opinion that the Left would call racist, then you’re not paying much attention.
I have two things on my mind about this one. Did the two people arrested take up space that would have been used by paying customers and were asked to vacate? And this is a real set up. If you notice in the picture provided, behind the protesters, there is a guy with a television camera filming the “protest.” I wonder how many of the protesters are extras there to create news film for the 11 o’clock run? And this time their still picture actually proves it was set up before it started so the cameras had time to get there and plug in.
If you can’t enlighten them with the truth, baffle them with B.S.

Poor little snowflake.....
"Otis, My Man!"
I dont know if blacks know this. The Starbucks incident would segregate blacks even further in peoples minds. They may think they won. In fact they lost. Incidents like this will make people to believe that blacks want to be exempted to laws. They dont want equilty. They want to be above laws
Being White in America. When you’re White, you’re either seen as a problem or a criminal. You are profiled whenever you are in a public space. Anything you say or do, or don’t say or don’t do, is subject to being branded as a hate crime, and you have no recourse. Your guilt is proven by your skin shade. Don’t deny it. You have White Privilege and you are a cracker a$$ cracker. The poc has the right to beat on you, as long as it’s called the knockout “game.”
It a “latch-on” disorder...too easy to claim.
Perfect!
LMAO
Great minds think alike, you and dfwgator.
Mr. b propped his head on his arm on top of his luggage as he sat on a bench in front of the San Antonio airport waiting for me to pick him up a couple years ago. Security acted like he was a homeless bum sleeping at their front steps. Maybe he should have sued. Instead, he showed them his LE badge. No, he didn’t look like a bum. One kid on the plane thought he was zoo keeper on tv - can’t think of his name.
“This time it was imagined, but quite often it is real.”
Then how come it seems most of the time when a big public incident is made of it, it is either “imagined” or they are found to have done something to bring it upon themselves?
I don’t know.
Now before you go on, I know that statistics can be manipulated in different ways. I also agree that cops have a reason to profile - if it seems most criminals are elves, they will stop elves
My point was simple - no matter what the underlying cause (criminality in the black community or whatever), for a law-abiding black man it is irritating to be stopped over and over
If I was in that position I'd be irritated. To give you an example - when I travelled to Cambodia my wife and I were continuously targeted by street vendors to buy stuff from them because of what we looked like - it was ok the first 3 times, but when it was 5 times daily it was irritating.
And that's just being pestered to buy stuff.
now I'm not pretending to say I know the solution, but I can sympathize -- even if tomorrow black crime ends completely, then there will still be a short time before the authorities stop profiling (with reason -- if I'm a copy I would do exactly the same and this also keeps the places safe) - and this is NOT cop-bashing, what the cops are doing is correct as they are authorized to keep the peace. But I can sympathize.
