A Daytona Beach Flea Market vendor was arrested after she pepper-sprayed a competing vendor and threatened to kill him while pointing a BB gun at him, Volusia deputies said.
Deputies investigation revealed that Lynda Woodruff, 68, and Salomon Tivoli, 70, have similar competing businesses identified in reports as smoke shops at the flea market located at 1425 Tomoka Farms Road, officials said.
Woodruff was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery on a person over 65 years old or older. Court records show she is free on $7,500 bail. (snip)
On Saturday, deputies were called to the flea market at 12:48 p.m. where Woodruff said Tivoli had insulted her and she told him to shut up, a report detailed.
Woodruff denied threatening and pointing the BB gun at Tivoli, deputies said.
Tivoli reported that he had just finished a transaction when he turned around facing Woodruffs shop. It was then that Woodruff pepper-sprayed him in the face and then pointed the BB gun at him saying, Ill kill you (expletive), investigators said.
Tivoli described the firearm as black with a beige handle, the report said.
Woodruff allowed deputies to search her stall and located a black Winchester air pistol with a brown handle, a report revealed.
Investigators said they also found a canister of pepper spray called The Disabler.

“Don’t tell mama what mama don’t like!”
If my flea market stall were next to hers, I would ask whether I could have a different stall. She doesn’t look that nice.
I think she is probably still angry and has the resting ***** face going.
I am sure that in non stress situations she is a real nice lady and wonderful grandmother.
...probably never got back from Woodstock....
My in-laws lived in the Daytona area in the 80’s and 90’s and would often go their for their fruits and vegetables. It for the most part for a flea market a pretty nice place both in physical appearance and goods sold. We were there a few years ago and it had gone downhill.
Flea Market Flipped?......................
OK, I can see the aggravated assault charge but where is the “deadly weapon”? Pepper spray and a BB gun don't seem, (at least to me) to fall into that category, unless may she was beating the guy over the head with one or both of those items.
A BB gun at close range can be a deadly weapon.
A co-worker of mine had a child hit in the head with a BB at close range and it was lodged in the child’s brain. They had to leave it there...................
I see the cops included the Senior Citizen Discount on the charges.
