My consumption tonight: a bowel of curried lentils with onions,

Yuck. A bowel of ground pork is fine, as long as it is prepped correctly. Usually call it sausage.

I see what you did there. :-)

I think a “bowel” of pork is called a chitterling or a chitlin’. Not sure what a bowel of lentils would be called.
