This is the mind-bending moment a daredevil rides his motorbike across the third largest lake in Italy.
Luca Colombo, a biker from Milan, set a world record for the longest distance ever travelled by motorbike on fresh water on July 31, 2017.
To achieve the remarkable stunt, Luca rode from all the way from the town of Gravedona to Colico on the other side of the famous Lake Como - a distance of around 5km.
Armed only with an inflatable bracelet, capable of expanding like a life-jacket, the Italian rode at breakneck pace at the water and hydroplaned his way across in just five minutes.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

Snowmobiles can do the same thing - without the modifications.

Sometimes, its not.
I believe they drug the body of a guy who tried this out of a lake in Montana.

He has paddle tread tires and something that looks like a hydroplaning structure on the bottom. I was hoping for a full side view at least but the cameraman wasn’t interested. Looks like maybe a water sled with two very fast paddlewheels in the center slot.

Wow...very cool! One of our best family vacations included five days on Lake Como, so it’s especially neat seeing him do that on that lake.

It didn’t look “terrifying” to me. It looked like it would be fun.

It didnt look terrifying to me. It looked like it would be fun. You didnt see the sharks (or maybe they were mutant bass), in the lake, with frickin lasers affixed to their heads.

The wet-bike was available to batman in the very bad tv show legends of the superheros, and James Bond rode one.

Back when I was about 17, the freeway underpass near me flooded during a storm. It was about 4’ deep. Some idiot on a motorcycle got past the police barricade and was barreling down the freeway, police car in pursuit. He hit the water at 60-70 mph and immediately flew over the handlebars.
We all laughed.

Isnt that David Hogg? Oh, on the contrary. Dash Parr is, if anything, a budding Libertarian/Objectivist. Hogg-boy...not so much.

Because boats are for water and snowmobiles are for snow?
