I live a couple of hundred feet from the route and over the last few days there's been a steady stream of people who I assume are just doing dry runs.Tomorrow is predicted to be a horrible day here...torrential rains and wind.That should make for a slightly less chaotic scene than usual.

I run 100 mile ultra-marathons. (5 finishes) The winner of the most recent Umstead 100 did it in 14:04.

White Pigeon, Michigan is named after a Potawatomie Chief. He was at a gathering of chieftains in Detroit, and became aware of a plan to attack the village. He ran 150 miles on trails to warn the settlers of the attack. He arrived, delivered the plan, and soon collapsed and died. He is buried in the village.
