I used to play that on a commercial FM station back in the day. No way you’d ever get away with it today. Still have the LP.

Yes, I heard that as well. Also, had they not reversed the propellers, which affects the ship’s ability to steer, they might have been able to steer around the iceberg.

False flag? /s

The Jews did it!

OF COURSE!

Steel doesn't shatter like that! I mean how is Ice stronger than steel?

You mean to tell me that with state of art wireless communications, cutting edge watertight technology and the largest moving object ever built by man would be sunk by an iceberg in April!?

First of all I am a trained shipbuilding engineer and a ship doesn't flood in that way. Every ship ever sunk has capsized and yet the Titanic went down nearly perfectly level?

You can't convince me that wasn't a controlled demolition sinking!

(Did I cover all the bases?)

My wife and I just watched that.

It was emotionally moving, which is surprising, as it it just Morse Code text with time stamps.

Thank you.

You are welcome.

This documentary here helped to ignite my passion for History.

Titanic: Anatomy of a Disaster Part 1 of 11

On a personal note I had a new neice born yesterday which means a lifetime of Titanic related trivia and birthday parties for her :)

Oddly enough, Benjamin Guggenheim, the wealthiest Jew on the Titanic, refused to put on a life preserver or be evacuated. He sat in the reception hall and went down with ship.

Many of the third class passengers who perished were poor Jews escaping Russian pogroms.

Has anybody looked into who shorted the White Star Line just before the Titanic sailed?

That senate investigation committee also asked: Since there were water tight compartments in the hull, why didn’t passengers go there? (or words to that effect)

The precursor to the FCC was created after the Titanic disaster owing to interference to wireless operations by hobbyist radio operators.

I just watched a fascinating documentary about just-surfaced photos of the pre-sailing Titanic that show a black streak down the side of the hull at the spot where the iceberg hit.

It is believed to be an indication of the smoldering fire that was occurring in one of the coal bunkers. The heat would have warped the steel hull plates and reduced their strength by seventy-five percent. A fireman down in the bunkers heard the hull give way and saw the foam on incoming water. He got topside ASAP and made it onto a lifeboat.

The UK hearing suppressed testimony dealing with the fire, and the US hearing did little better. The photographs lay undiscovered for over a hundred years.
