The amount of concentrated caffeine that’s considered safe at a time—200 milligrams—is very, very small.

ONE cup of brewed coffee has 95-165 mg of caffeine. So three cups of coffee have 285 to 495 mg. That sounds like the danger zone.

Note to FDA: We seem to have gotten along pretty well with this stuff. Please go home and take another nap.

Ingesting a large quantity of salt will kill a person. Why isn’t salt banned?

[[at least two deaths in otherwise healthy individuals,” the agency stated. ... Between 10 and 14 grams of caffeine is considered life-threatening]]

Breaking: Feds ban water because several otherwise healthy individuals have died from overdoses of water- too much water is considered life-threatening

In order for our “regulators” in federal agencies to keep their jobs, they must constantly come up with new “regulations” for the citizenry.

I think this is easily in the top three problems facing the nation.

The federal government should NOT be a “make-work project.”

have been linked to at least two deaths

Two? We are generalizing from two to the entire population? That sample is approximately 6.140620202640467e-9% of the 325.7 million inhabitants. Seems like a kinda small sample to me.

With a pure powder, it would be easy for some knucklehead to have the equivalent of 50 to 100 cups of coffee in one serving.

I can’t believe you can buy straight caffeine powder
What a disaster
Imagine if they sold pure nicotine. One drop and any adult is dead
Pure alcohol or close to is extremeky hazardous
There’s a reason why there’s mixed drinks. Coffee. Tea etc

A little bit is going

A lot is NOT better

Okay...so they are banning bulk powder or liquid forms of caffeine but tablets/pills (No-Doz) are still good. Basically because some people are idiots. Yep.
