Rumsfield Pentagon missing $2.3 Trillion
Supposedly the Bush admin found 2.3 trillion missing and never accused the Clinton admin of it. Which makes me think the Clintons took half and the Bushes took half anybody with a sibling will understand this you little brother catches you eating a cookie he says I'm telling mom you give him cookie now he can't rat you out cause he's in it too.
Yes indeed - very telling. They are joined at the hip in their ill-gotten gains.

“...As we wrote last week, legislation called the Red Cross Sunshine Act has recently been filed by Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS). “Robust oversight and transparency are key to good governance and effective management. This is especially true for the complicated and critical needs of large-scale emergencies and natural disasters like Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy,” Thompson said. The GAO “report is crystal clear — adequate Federal oversight of the Red Cross is severely lacking even after Congress tried to correct the Red Cross’s history of mismanagement and shortcomings when it amended the Red Cross’s charter following Katrina.”
The American Red Cross was founded in 1881 and is one of a small number of congressionally chartered nonprofits. It received its first congressional charter in 1900.
The Red Cross has an official role in the United States’ disaster response plan so the congressional interest in it is understandable and, in light of this, when the the GAO found that there is no oversight of performance or efficiency, it recommended that action be taken....”

II. [From Red Cross itself - about its own internal audit procedures. Fairly lengthy article. The first paragraph of what I have snipped out REALLY caught my eye. The law passed referred to above compells them to report, apparently.... but they have chosen NOT to report anything prior to that law taking effect. ]

The IFRC will publicly disclosure internal audit reports commencing in 2016, with internal audit reports uploaded to the public website quarterly. Internal audit reports prior to 2016 will not be disclosed.
The purpose of an internal audit is to identify issues for management to address and therefore the primary audience is internal. In some cases, the reports may include sensitive information and this information will be excluded from reports which are shared with the public. Disclosure restrictions are elaborated in the IFRC`s information disclosure policy.
