My husband had cancer(don’t worry he’s good now) and he had to get a blood transfusion. Makes you wonder.

My son and I were talking about organ harvesting/donation.

We decided to just buy the ranch instead of getting the organ.

Of course bone marrow or kidney is different-that can be done without killing or torturing someone.

Bone marrow requires *exquisite* attention to genetic typing of the donor and recipient. Because bone marrow makes all the blood-borne cellular components of the immune system, the transplanted bone marrow looks at the recipient to say "hmm, this looks like me, everything's cool" or "uh-oh, this looks like something else, better go carnivorous batsh*t crazy".

And if it doesn't match, or matches...poorly, look out.
