US-Israeli Missile Test in Med Rattles Moscow
A joint U.S.-Israeli missile test on Tuesday in the eastern Mediterranean Sea triggered Russian radars in what leaders described as a "routine" exercise.
Both U.S. and Israeli defense officials insisted that the test firing of a Sparrow missile was routine and unrelated to the Syrian crisis. However, the announcement of the test came only after Moscow complained that its radars had picked up two "ballistic objects" fired in the general direction of the Syrian coast.
"This test had nothing to do with United States' consideration of military action to respond to Syria's chemical weapons attack," Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said in a statement.

Russia Says US-Israeli Iran Missile Simulation Failed
Russia claims to have found missile meant to be shot down in Arrow 2 missile defense test in Mediterranean Sea.
The test was conducted by the Israeli Defense Ministry, together with the American Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The Defense Ministry said in a statement "an Arrow 2 missile was launched and performed its flight sequence as planned. The results are being analyzed by program engineers."
In the test, a target Ankor (Sparrow) missile was fired over the Mediterranean, with an Arrow 2 fired to intercept it. According to the Russian claims the Ankor escaped the test unharmed, landing in the sea.
