If only Michael Mann could “adjust” real temperatures the way he adjusted them on his infamous “hockey stick” graph that formed the key argument of Al Gore’s scaremongering hit movie, An Inconvenient Truth. But instead of “The end of snow” (New York Times, 2014), Britain has gotten hit with a long and very cold winter.
The tabloid Daily Star sensationalizes the cold snap with “studies” that come up with the figure of 48,000 “excess” deaths blamed in the cold snap. Quite frankly, one can concoct all sorts of studies to “prove” or “demonstrate” all sorts of dubious propositions. So, I am not really endorsing the number of fatalities from the cold that are claimed.

I’m skeptical of the 48,000 deaths figure. That sounds like the kind of unprovable statistic that the global warming people come up with.

"They" will tell "us" anything to keep the scam going. Even if a glacier forms and rolls over Manhattan..."they" will say it is global warming. Or is it climate change? I just can't keep up with all "their" bullshite.

I just have a hard time getting my mind around the number of 48,000 deaths. If New York City had 10 deaths from the cold, it would be first page news everywhere.

They have been doing it with smoking related deaths for YEARS.
If someone dies of heart disease at age 80 and had smoked for 20 years back in the 50s/60s it would be considered a smoking related death.

That is why they changed the language from "global warming" to the current "climate change". The "climate" is always changing (cause it is just weather), so the activists are always right. Very few use the term "global warming" anymore, it is always "climate change".
