In 1967, a Boston Marathon official nearly dragged a woman off the course after she managed to enter the men's-only race. Five decades later, race officials aren't as concerned about gender boundaries: They're now publicly acknowledging that transgender runners can compete using the gender they identify with.
"We take people at their word. We register people as they specify themselves to be," said Tom Grilk, chief of the Boston Athletic Association, the group behind the race. "Members of the LGBT community have had a lot to deal with over the years, and we'd rather not add to that burden."

Let me be flamed: There are those who were given God given rights in America to be equal citizens. These grievance Americans are well known and used by the left. In my estimation most grievance Americans are rapidly destroying America. This does not mean that their rights are to be taken away although they call for all of ours to be taken. I do know these groups will ultimately kill this country.

I am so glad my competition days are over and I competed in a time when this nonsense didn’t fly. Women and girls should be able to compete on a level playing field. Adding men and boys into the mix is not a level playing field.
Look, women are going to get what they have forced on straight men having to live with pc policies they as an overall group have demanded.
They said be nice and toleant and accepting of the freaks of the rainbow. We have todeal with trans women coming into our private all-men spaces and attempting to be a man, now the women will have to woman up and deal with the other trans that affects them in their persomal realm and live by their pc code and deal with it.
Women as a group pushed for gay and lesbian causes and to treat them as normal. Same sith the trans until the male trans started to do better at women in certain things, jow they dont like it. TOO BAD YOU ALL AS A GROUP STARTED THE FREAK TRAIN MOVING, NOW YOU ARE ALONG FOR THE RIDE.
well the men didn’t feel good about themselves as men, so now they can feel good about themselves by besting women’s times and bumping women out of their proper placement in the finishing stats - somehow that makes these trans women feel better.
Well no, not at all “any man” ... The best female marathoners can outrun a large majority of men. But, there are certainly a good number of men who can run a marathon at times between 2:12:00 and 2:30:00, say, and some of them may consider whether they’d rather be a “winner” in the women’s races than another “also ran” in the men’s races.
I think this is a great idea. It simplifies everything, one race one winner, man or woman, doesn’t matter. No more of this “First (insert declaration here) to ever (blank a blank). You want equal, then you will get equal and you will damn well like it.

At Boston, this would only make a difference in the professional races where the elite men and women run separately with the women going out 30 minutes ahead of the men.
The rest of the runners are in corrals according to their qualifying time, men and women alike. I suppose the trannies might get a more favorable standing overall after the race running as “women”. Seems like a lot of much ado about nothing though.
I ran Boston five years in a row and there were plenty of women who kicked my butt. The trannies may be in for a surprise.

Agreed. To a large and certain degree, homosexual men hate women. They hate them because they can’t have them; or want to be them and are jealous.
And lesbian women hate men. Generally.

And girls’ and womens’ sports will suffer. All already suffering. There’s a manwoman beating the pulp out of women in the MMA, not that I approve of women being in that anyway. . . there’s a soccer team in the Middle East somewhere running men as women players. . . etc.
Hey. I qualified once as a man. Now I’m too slow to qualify as a “man” my age. But hell....I can just register as a woman. I’m good to go! Yeehaw. LMAO

That could be greatly hastened if the Olympics let these guys compete in womens’ sports.
