Remember about a decade ago when New York Times "conservative" David Brooks stared with awe and admiration at the crease in Barack Obama's pants leg and took that as a sign that he would be a very good president? Well, in a latter day update of that, Vanity Fair writer Kenzie Bryant is currently gazing with complete fascination at President Donald Trump's pant legs and is obsessing over their size. There is neither awe nor admiration in Bryant's tone but there is an unhealthy overdose of very weird obsession as she wonders What Is Going on with Trumps Pant Legs? One Humble Theory:

Haha
Liberals have a weird thing about pants
I remember distinctly an image ofwe were sitting on his couches, and I was looking at his pant leg and his perfectly creased pant, Brooks says, and Im thinking, a) hes going to be president and b) hell be a very good president.

Trump’s not stupid.

Would be unauthentic of him to go with the brown Reagan suits, but an American cut to fancy Italian suits apparently has long been part of Trump.
You need to put Chrisissy’s face on that. 8>)
I’m not going to read this (probably) disgusting, vaguely perverted article BUT what I’ve noticed about the President is his vaguely rumpled look of the workaholic. That, plus what looks like a very old Brooks Brothers coat.
IMHO-Tapered suit pants scream queer to me.
“IMHO-Tapered suit pants scream queer to me.”
Yup - might as well come out in a front-page ad in NYT.
As for Trump’s trouser leg, only he and his tailor know...
What a dog!
LOL, thanks for the image.
Same conclusion here, Miss M.
Reminds of Jimmy Stewart’s appearance in “Mr. Smith goes to Washington”
Well dressed, but rumpled; not there just for Looks (a fashion plate) but only to do the job needing to be done.
I hate that look! Also, the tapered leg on men makes their feet look as big as banana boats.

Good observations !
These are important notes. What is also important is who can and can not tie a necktie. These are skills that are not passed down anymore - Dad’s aren’t teaching kids to tie the knot properly. You’ll see rather wealthy men these days who look like dolts because they just twist and tie a necktie into something that closes and call it a day.
The proper triangle is lost.
I do notice that when the president meets with foreign leaders and is seated with them, his suits are always well-pressed, his tie neatly tied, and his socks pulled up. He always looks spick ‘n span at those times. Usually when he’s walking towards the helicopter, he looks a little rumpled.
I'm the same age as the president and I wouldn't be seen dead in tapered pants.
Skin-tight ain't exactly attractive at our age.
They could be enjoying their lives, but they are too filled with hate. Such sadness.
