Gotta love Gasly in the Toro Rosso HONDA being quicker than both of the McLarens in both sessions.
Prediction: The Honda engine will come good this year, and next year Red Bull will use it to great success while Zak Brown looks for a new job.

Just happened to look through your home page, and ran into the information you had on Morgan J. Donahue. It brought back a few memories, as I was the roommate of the co-pilot on the missing crew, and got the wake up the morning after telling about the mid-air collision and the pilot was in a tree, with the rescue under way. Got to the airfield in time to welcome the pilot back to safety as he got off the CH-53 Jolly Green Giant. I was not aware of the continued efforts to find and rescue Morgan over many years.

Gasly does it again, albeit by 7 thousandths.
Something tells me Alonso will put in an epic lap to make sure that doesn’t happen in Q.
Now that Honda isn’t paying McLaren $100m a year, they can afford to build decent motors. Plus, the Toro Rosso chassis is certainly no worse than the highly-rated McLaren roller. And Toro Rosso hasn’t had as many problems with a new engine install as McLaren have. Embarrassing for a team the size of McL. To add further insult to injury, both Renaults, you know, the guys that sell McL their customer engine, finished ahead of McL in P3.
If I was Zak Brown, I wouldn’t be walking around with that big smile on my face. And if I was Mansoor Ojei, I’d ask Brown and Boullier why I need them when Alonso is making the team decisions. Much as I like Fernando, his pressure to dump Honda is going to end up costing McL a lot more than $100m a year.

i dint know Honda was dumping that kind of $ into the team above the engine
seems like all McLaren has done for several years now is step on it’s own crank...

And both Toro Rosso Hondas finished ahead of both McLarens in Qualifying.
I hope the McLaren guys took notes from the Honda guys on how to commit Hari Kari. Boullier says an “investigation” is necessary to find out what happened.
And hats off to ESPN2, they showed the Q without any commercial interruptions.

Hamilton backs return of 'grid girls' in F1 - then deletes controversial post
https://news.sky.com/story/hamilton-backs-return-of-grid-girls-in-f1-then-deletes-controversial-post-11319904
Lewis Hamilton has backed the return of 'grid girls' after Monaco and Russia officials indicated they plan to defy Formula One's decision to replace them with 'grid kids'.
The defending world champion shared a screenshot showing news of the potential U-turn, adding the message: "Thank you Jesus."
Image: Hamilton posted a screen image of an Instagram user's picture which he later deleted
The British driver has since deleted the post, which showed five women wearing skintight jumpsuits with low necklines.
It comes as the head of the Monaco race insisted 'grid girls' will be retained for the glamorous Mediterranean event on 27 May despite F1's new US owners Liberty Media axing them.
President of the Automobile Club de Monaco Michel Boeri told the Monaco Matin newspaper he had a good relationship with the owners.
Image: 'Grid girls' showed the name and number of each driver
He said: "They understand that Monaco is not Spa, or Monza. We've had no problems with Liberty Media. Except for the grid girls issue.
"They'll be there on the grid, but they won't be holding any name-boards. They're pretty - and the cameras will be on them once again."
Monaco's move comes as Russian deputy prime minister Dmitry Kozak said he wants to bring the models back for the Sochi GP in September.
Mr Kozak, who is on the Russian grand prix organising committee, was quoted as saying: "Here it should be adults.
Image: The use of grid girls have been seen by many as outdated and sexist
"In all forms of motor sport there are girls advertising cars harmoniously and pleasantly.
"If we manage to reach agreement we plan to reinstate this tradition. After all, our girls are the most beautiful."
