First daughter Tiffany Trump has unveiled a new White House portrait in which she’s wearing an ivory Gemini dress from one of her go-to designers, Taoray Wang. The photo was taken by White House photographer Shealah Craighead on April 2, during the Easter Egg Roll, where the Georgetown Law student joined her father, President Trump, and other family members.
The off-the-shoulder dress received mixed reviews from commenters. While many called her “gorgeous,” “beautiful,” “elegant,” and “stunning,” some questioned if the style was appropriate. “Is this an ironic presentation in some way? Why is the coat off the shoulder? You’re in the WH, but are you also put off by its rules?” @nicholas_gregg asked. @mrs_wemette said, “How is this appropriate? Have other adult children had cosmo photo shoots in the White House?” Others chimed in to ask why Tiffany would be taking an official portrait in the first place. “She has no reason for an official portrait, and if she does a picture it should be more dignified,” @mrs_wemette added.
The piece is from the Chinese designer’s autumn-winter 2018 collection.
Wang, who is known for her made-to-measure designs, has found a firm fan in the 24-year-old Trump. POTUS’s younger daughter has sat front row at Wang’s shows during New York Fashion Week, and she wore a white coat by the Shanghai-based label for her father’s 2017 inauguration.
“She has been a supporter since a long time before the election,” Wang told the Hollywood Reporter of her famous client, while Trump praised Wang for “unparalleled aesthetic.”
“She puts so much effort into the slightest detail,” Trump raved.

Tiffany could be President, one day. Folks should show some respect. I don’t much care for her wardrobe in #20, but #24 and #28 are lovely.
