Of course it was less in the USA compared to Germany in the 30s and 40s

But note that prior to 1918, Germany was one of the best places for Jews to live. Jews in fact supported Germany rather than the Triple Entente (UK=France=Tsarist Russia) because the Tsars were violently anti-semitic and the Dreyfuss affair and casual british anti-semitism was orders worse than Germany
