Lets hope Tony Finau is alright. The American PGA golfer scored a rare hole in one Wednesday at a Masters contest and then dislocated his ankle while celebrating.
Finau is scheduled to partake in his first Masters Tournament beginning tomorrow.
MRI tomorrow morning - decision will be made after that. Probably not too likely he will play. Wish they had put out a warning before they did the replay! Pretty gruesome twist.
LOL
Yup. That what I posted at the top.
That was some of the best golf I’ve watched in a while. 68 year old Tom Watson wins it with 6 under. He only had 8 putts. 78 year old Jack Nicklaus in the same group came in third at 4 under. 82 year old Gary Player came in ninth at 2 under. All in the same group. And then there was the hole in one by Nicklaus’s 15 year old grandson on the last hole. He said it’s the first one he’s had.
Let’s hope the big tournament is just as good.

I agree. I hope at least it isn’t a run away by one player
and thus no real completion going into the final holes.
WOW!
Teeing off on the first hole is a necessary precursor to, but hardly a predictor of, holing out four days later on the seventy-second.
I haven’t been a big fan of Finau, but if he makes it for all 18 of Round One, then is able to tee off for Round Two, I will be suitably impressed.
I’ll join that club.
Tony Finau: 33-35 = 68, second place tie
Amazing.
Well, he hasn’t yet “teed off for round two,” as you put it; I agree that playing another round after today’s exertions is the real test.
Yes sir. (ma’am?)
Your screen nick reminds me of a conversation several of us were having about things theological here on FR a couple of years ago. I mentioned that we're "saved by grace" and a fellow corrected me, saying that we're "saved by faith." So of course I quoted "we're saved by grace through faith," giving the citation; I explained that grace is the source of our salvation ("by grace") while faith is the method ("through faith"). Don't know whether I got through--the ungrateful believer never even bothered to reply to my gracious education of him.
And as Paul saying in Romans 12:3, God has given each of us the measure of faith.
So, even our faith is given to us by God, so it is by grace as well. LOL.
But I will definitely be watching as much of the Masters as I can this weekend.
I’m retired, so I’m watching it online right now. My wife is well aware of the blocks of time I’ll spend on it through Sunday.
Welp, ol’ Tony has teed off in the fourth round. Man among men.
Yes, that is my new opinion of him.
