Sarah Gilbert, who plays 65-year-old Barr's on-screen daughter Darlene, and serves as executive producer on the show, is especially fed up, according to the insider.
'The two have been going at it over creative differences, particularly when it comes to political dialogue that is in the script,' the anonymous informant shared.
Radar's source said: 'Nothing has changed with her and she is just as difficult now as she was then.'
Neither Barr nor Gilbert, 43, has addressed reports of creative differences.
Barr did recently address Trump's claims he's to thank for high ratings for the show's premiere, though. Speaking with TMZ on the matter, she said: 'It's all me.'
Her statement came after Trump said during an Ohio campaign rally: 'I got a call from Mark Burnett, he did The Apprentice, he's a great guy. He said, "Donald, I called just to say hello, and to tell you: Did you see Roseanne's ratings?" I said, "Mark, how big were they?"
'They were unbelievable! Over 18 million people! And it was about us! They haven't figured it out! The fake news hasn't quite figured it out yet...But they will, and when they do, they'll become much less fake.'
The show's premiere was watched by about 25 million viewers.

Well she has produced many tv shows. Is on the talk. And it was her idea to get everyone to do Roseanne. So yes she’s been busy. This story is a lie!!!!!! Why you fall for it is beyond me.
I watched tonight’s episode. Didn’t laugh once. I was a big fan years ago. Tonight was like watching old Saturday Night Live reruns thinking “I thought this was funny?”
Sadly, I’m afraid you are correct.
Every show must have at least one of ‘em.
If that happens, I’ll stop watching for sure. We all need to stop if that happens. That crap makes me sick.
It looks like the one on the right is trying to look like Stephen Tyler. In all the other pictures I’ve seen them together in, they look like meth addicts.
“Darlene” is just not likable.
Sara Gilbert isn’t funny and she ruins the show.
She might be a good producer but she’s a lousy actress.
This was a long time ago and her appearance at my abode had nothing to do with show-business.
However, she made an enduring impression on me personally as a particularly distasteful person, and I was glad when she left.
(With glass in hand, which was very strange - a tumbler of no value.) George Dickel, by the way, which I preferred at that time.
I did think, later, that it was funny that she seemed to be in a bad mood because nobody (to my knowledge) “knew who she was.” She seemed unkempt, clad in black, sort of sweaty-looking. Maybe she was drunk.
I think, in retrospect, somebody must have recognized her from TV, but I did not. There were some other “minor stars” there.
To me she was just a strange, creepy, grumpy “emo” person who came, stomped around my living room, muttered some inanities, demanded booze, and left.
Maybe she needed to go somewhere where someone thought she was important.
So there’s my “Sarah Gilbert” story.
We watched last night - seemed like some really rusty actors monotoning some lines but the message was a good one.
Maybe she was pissed because big sister was a star and she wasn’t.
Odd to report as if it were ongoing.

Were it not for this show Sara Gilbert would be consigned to doing dinner theater in Poughkeepsie.
Again, what a rude, nasty person. Doesn’t deserve a successful career.
